How To Clean Tile Floors 02

How often should you clean toilet tiles?

To effectively clean tiles in the toilet, HG offers a range of solutions, including HG tile cleaner for regular maintenance. The frequency of cleaning depends on factors such as usage, water hardness and ventilation. Regular cleaning and periodic deep cleaning help limit soiling. Always check the manufacturer's maintenance instructions before you start.

HG solutions for cleaning toilet tiles

We offer effective solutions for cleaning toilet tiles:

  • For regular tile cleaning, HG tile cleaner is an excellent choice. This fresh-smelling, highly concentrated cleaner is suitable for all types of tile floors and non-calcareous natural stone.

Solutions for cleaning toilet tiles

If you prefer not to use professional products, you can try the following household solutions. Be aware that these may be less effective and could carry risks:

  • Mix equal parts white vinegar and water and apply the solution to the tiles. Leave it to work briefly before rinsing.
  • Use a mixture of lemon juice and water to help remove limescale and stains.
  • Create a paste using hydrogen peroxide (3%) and a mild abrasive, and apply carefully to stubborn stains.
  • Clean regularly using mild washing-up liquid and warm water to prevent build-up.

Whilst these methods can help, they do not always deliver consistent results. For best results and to avoid damage, we recommend using HG cleaning products.

Causes of toilet tile soiling

Toilet tiles can become soiled due to several factors:

  • High usage: Frequent use leads to splashing and build-up.
  • Hard water: Causes limescale deposits.
  • Poor ventilation: Encourages moisture and mould.
  • Careless use: Spillage and splashing increase dirt.

To reduce build-up, clean regularly and thoroughly. Ensure adequate ventilation in the bathroom to reduce moisture. Carry out deep cleaning periodically with appropriate HG products to prevent the accumulation of dirt and minerals. Regular maintenance will help keep your toilet tiles looking clean and hygienic for longer periods.
