Household solutions for teak wood stains

Home remedies for removing stains from teak wood are frequently suggested online. We do not recommend using these methods, as they do not guarantee results and may damage the wood. Always check the manufacturer's instructions and test any solution first.

• A mixture of equal parts white vinegar and water is sometimes applied, left to work briefly and gently scrubbed with a soft brush, then wiped away with a damp cloth.
• A paste of lemon juice and fine salt is sometimes rubbed onto stains, left for approximately 15 minutes and then rinsed with water before drying thoroughly.
• A solution of equal parts water and chlorine (bleach) is sometimes applied using a sponge and left to work for 10–15 minutes before rinsing. Note: chlorine can lighten teak wood.

These methods may not remove stains completely and can damage the wood if applied incorrectly. Always stop immediately if the wood shows signs of change.
