Follow the steps below for the correct use of HG silicon seal remover. We recommend you test the sealant remover in a small and inconspicuous place first. Do not use the product on porous surfaces. If you apply new sealant afterwards, make sure the surface is completely dry.
- Use a knife to cut away the sealant as closely as possible to the surface.
- Carefully cover the sealant that must not be removed with tape.

- Then remove the sealant residues with the supplied spatula. If it is not that easy, leave it to absorb a little longer.

4. Clean spirit or nail-polish remover
Pour nail-polish remover or clean spirit on a scouring pad and use it to soak off the silicone sealant. Leave it to absorb and try to loosen the sealant. Use a knife if required.
Unfortunately, the effectiveness of a glass scraper, Stanley knife, vegetable oil, cleaning spirit or nail-polish remover is not guaranteed, and in the end it's not what they were intended for.
You will often still need a special knife or HG silicon seal remover to remove the sealant edges completely.
